Important Home Inspection
Warnings

Be informed about potential hidden risks in your home before making a decision.

01
High Risk

Vermiculite Insulation

Vermiculite insulation was commonly used in older homes and may contain asbestos contamination. While vermiculite itself is not harmful, a large portion of it was sourced from contaminated mines. If your home has vermiculite insulation, professional testing is strongly recommended to determine if asbestos is present.

02
Critical Risk

Asbestos

Asbestos is a hazardous material that was widely used in construction for insulation and fire resistance. When disturbed, it releases microscopic fibers into the air that can cause serious health conditions, including lung disease and cancer. Do not touch, move, or attempt to remove materials that may contain asbestos. Always consult a certified professional.

03
Moderate–High

Kitec Plumbing (IPEX)

Kitec plumbing systems, commonly used between 1995 and 2007, are known to have manufacturing defects and have been involved in class action lawsuits. These systems are often identified by blue (cold water) and orange (hot water) pipes. If found, it is recommended to have them inspected and replaced if necessary.
